It’s a real challenge to find even an edible gluten free pizza. Most are terrible. And to find a frozen gluten free pizza is like a finding a diamond. So three weeks aga I was in Windsor (where I grew up and lived until I was 22 and still have family there). Tried Armando’s pizza on Cabana Rd. SOOO excellent. Then I went back and bought 5 frozen pizzas to take on the train back to Hamilton. They fit in two boxes, which I tied together. I asked for one gluten free pizza for my grandson, who must eat gluten free. I have tried all the gluten free pizzas his parents have found and they are dreck. But I took this one to his parents and cooked it following Josh at Armando’s instructions (but 25 degrees lower for fan-running convection oven). They told me they had never cooked a GF frozen pizza before did not know how it would turn out. SOOO excellent, delicious, perfect and just like the non-gluiten free pizza. THAT is worth highlighting. Lots of people make great pizza. NO ONE else makes great gluten free pizza.
The Yelling Goat – this place has pizza down… Comes out a thin style pie but more medium. Crispy toasted crust and consistent tasty melted cheese. I love the berbere pizza as it’s also their best wing sauce. ANY PIE is good! Go there!
Varsity pizza on the Syracuse University Hill in Syracuse NY I think it’s a great pizza has kinda sweet sauce though so you most likely won’t like that but otherwise a solid pizza
Try Hydraulic Hearth on Swan Street in Buffalo, NY! Their Buffalo Chicken is delicious, as is their entire menu. Also highly recommend the cocktails too!
If your doing specialty pizzas now you have to try the chicken cheddar broccoli pizza at great lakes Pizza in west seneca ny. It’s on sale on mondays!!
You need to try Roost on Niagara street in Buffalo. They have a basic cheese/pep that’ll knock your socks off, plus some specialty pizzas you’d love. High temp Italian oven gives the pizzas a totally unique flavor.
